How many legislators serve in each legislature?

With the exception of Nebraska, every state has two chambers in its legislature, usually called the House and the Senate. They vary widely in size. The table below shows how many legislators I have data for from each chamber. In some states I am missing data for one or two legislators, but for the most part, the numbers below correspond to the actual sizes of each chamber.

The graphs depict relative chamber sizes visually. Click a column heading to sort by that variable.
